We heard his heart for the very first time — strong, steady, and impossibly fast. The room went quiet and then we both cried. He's real. He's really real.

The ultrasound tech smiled and said those three words we'll never forget. A boy. We're having a boy. We already knew his name — Chance. And now Chance has a face.

The first time we felt him move was a Tuesday evening. Just a flutter at first, then a proper little kick. He's in there, making himself known, reminding us he's on his way.

His room is coming together — soft colors, a cozy crib, and a little bookshelf already filling up with stories we can't wait to read to him. It smells like fresh paint and new beginnings.
